
The Master Project Public Hearing was held on July 31, 2025 at the Main Building of the Hyakumanben Campus, where students of the Kyoto College of Information Science and Technology (KCGI) presented the results of their Master Projects, which were the culmination of two years of study and research.
Students from specialized fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and tourism IT presented their projects on unique themes such as vocabulary assessment using natural language processing and the impact of Japanese anime on motivation for learning and tourism.The public hearing was conducted in a hybrid format of in-person and real-time online, and the students sincerely answered questions from both the audience and the online audience during the Q&A session after the presentations.
KCGI's Master Project is a required course that focuses on the practical application of ICT and the use of technology, and aims to help students develop an awareness of their own problems, analyze them, and present solutions.Compared to the conventional research-based master's thesis of the master's program, the master's thesis is not only a study of new knowledge creation, but also a practical project that utilizes and applies existing tools and other resources.As the culmination of their studies, the program aims to provide students with an opportunity to apply ICT in practical ways to improve the real world and people's lives.
