KCG Group celebrates its 58th anniversary!

On May 1, 2021, the 58th anniversary of the founding of KCG Group, including Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), Kyoto College of Information Institute (KCGI) and Kyoto College of Motor Vehicles (KCGM), Professor Masaharu Imai of KCGI gave a commemorative lecture titled "Climate Change and SDGs - What Contribution Can We Make Using IT?

The KCG Group was founded on May 1, 1963 by a group of students from the Department of Astrophysics, Kyoto University, as the "FORTRAN Study Group" for university researchers, and was the first computer education institution in Japan.

In 1969, Kyoto Computer Gakuin was established as Japan's first full-time school for training computer technicians, and it has continued to develop to this day, with approximately 50,000 graduates to date. In 2004, Kyoto Institute of Information Science and Technology was established as Japan's first and only graduate school specializing in IT, and it joined the group.
