Message

The development of ICT is driving economic and social evolution and accelerating digital transformation.People all over the world are communicating in real time through cyberspace, processing information more quickly and efficiently, and creating new business models and services.

However, the adverse effects of digitalization, such as the misuse of personal information, cybersecurity threats, the widening digital divide, and questions of technology ethics, are emerging as challenges for the nation and society. In particular, cyber attacks such as the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack in the United States have paralyzed national functions and caused economic and social chaos, resulting in serious damage to government agencies, companies, and individuals.

Governments are developing laws and institutions to deal with malicious cyber activities and promoting policies to improve the level of national cybersecurity. At the same time, industries and businesses are also maintaining a safe environment from cyber threats by developing security policies and operating information security programs to protect their critical information.

Thus, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important, but there is a global shortage of people with knowledge of ICT and security.Combining the understanding and practical knowledge of ICT and information security can help and prevent the security issues within your organization.I hope that at KCGI you will acquire ICT skills and expertise with information security in mind, and improve your communication and problem-solving skills.
