<Lecturer
Department of Information and Communication, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Nanzan University
Professor Hiroyuki Kono
<Title.
"A data warehouse and its use for traffic accident-related data on the Hanshin Expressway."
The difficulty of prediction based on measurement and analysis of data is evident, for example, when we consider the provision of information on the prediction of arrival time to the destination in road use.
In order to improve the prediction accuracy, it is necessary to measure, integrate and accumulate more data.In fact, a traffic data warehouse including traffic accident-related data is being developed on the Hanshin Expressway in addition to conventional traffic data. The talk will discuss typical data mining processes, such as data cleaning and data transformation for use in data warehousing, and the generation of predictive models of fault duration that affect control operations. In addition, data mining tools used for data analysis are also introduced.
