The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015 caused tremendous damage, killing 4,000 people and injuring more than 7,000 others, and many people are still forced to live as evacuees due to collapsed houses and roads cut off.Not only students from Nepal at The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics and Kyoto Computer Gakuin, but also faculty members and all students, I am deeply touched by the misery that has been reported.I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victims and their bereaved families and express my heartfelt sympathy. We also hope for the earliest possible recovery of the injured and the restoration of the disaster-stricken areas.
Although we cannot go to the affected areas to help, we would like to do whatever we can to help those who are in need, so we are planning a fund-raising campaign by volunteers from Kyoto Institute of Information Science and Technology and Kyoto Computer Gakuin University.Your goodwill will be used to provide support and relief to those affected by the disaster and to help rebuild the affected areas.
