Kyoto Computer Graduate Institute (KCG) and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) signed an inter-university exchange agreement with Vietnam's National Hue University (HU) on April 20, 2020.KCGI has also signed a separate agreement with the university for a joint academic program.First, a memorandum of agreement signed by KCG Group President Wataru Hasegawa and KCGI President Toshihide Ibaraki on March 18 was sent to Hue University by Express Mail Service (EMS) from TUFS.The MOU arrived two weeks later than scheduled, due to the new coronavirus control measures in Vietnam, and was signed by Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, President of the University, on April 20.
The purpose of this agreement is to promote research and educational cooperation between KCG/KCGI and Hue University, as well as exchange of students and faculty members.On April 6, a similar agreement was signed with the University of Danang (UD) in Vietnam.
The KCG Group has been actively promoting exchanges with Vietnamese universities since Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, who served as President of the Hanoi National University of Technology (VNU-UET), became Vice President of KCGI.In December 2019, KCGI signed a university exchange agreement with VNU-UET.
