KCGI Student Team Takes 4th Place in World Karuta Championship, 2nd Place in Individual Competition
The 3rd Otsu Hikarukun Cup Ogura Hyakunin Isshu Group World Karuta Championship was held on November 9, 2025 at Oumi Jingu-shrine Oumi Kangakukan in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, the "sacred place of karuta" for the first time in six years.Mr.Zuo also took second place in the individual competition at the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu International Karuta Exchange Tournament in Omi Jingu on the following day, the 10th.We spoke to Mr.Zuo.
