The Kyoto College of Information Graduate School (KCGI), part of the Information University Educational Foundation, signed an academic exchange agreement with Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) in Indonesia on July 31, 2026.Going forward, we plan to engage in joint development of educational and research projects, as well as exchanges between faculty and students.
The signing ceremony, held on this day at the KCGI Kyoto Main Campus in Hyakumanben, was attended by a delegation from KCGI—including President Yoichi Terashita and Professor Mi-Hye Lee—and a delegation from UNUSA—including Nuzulul Fatimah, Dean of the School of Management—who had traveled to Japan for the occasion.From Indonesia itself, Ir. UNUSA leaders, including President Tri Yogi Yuwono and Vice President Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, participated online.
At the ceremony, President Terashita and Nuzulul Fatimah, Dean of the School of Management, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).At the event, President Terashita stated, “The agreement is expected to contribute to KCGI’s global educational mission.”"Going forward, KCGI and UNUSA will work together to develop new educational opportunities and share the benefits," he said in his remarks.Ir. Tri Yogi Yuwono, the university president, said, “For us, cooperation means respecting one another, learning together, growing together, and contributing together.”"Our goal is to nurture graduates who are capable, have a global perspective, and feel a sense of responsibility toward their local communities," he said.
UNUSA is a private university located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, and is affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama, the country's largest Islamic organization.Beginning as a nursing school established in 1979 under the Surabaya Islamic Hospital Foundation, the university was founded in 2013.Currently, the university has three campuses and comprises six faculties, including the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Digital Technology.
KCGI has entered into academic and business partnership agreements with universities and companies around the world and is committed to fostering global exchange through initiatives such as joint research projects and international symposia.As for universities in Indonesia, we signed a mutual exchange agreement with Bhayangkara University Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2017.
