The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) Sapporo Satellite uses the internet connection to answer the participants' questions for the entrance briefing.
The Sapporo Satellite opened this spring, and offers original lectures by Sapporo-based professors such as Professor Maki Nakamura (Representative of Desic Co., Ltd.), as well as e-learning classes through an interactive link between the satellite and the main campus in Kyoto. In addition, from this fall, seminar instruction (career-enhancing courses) via the Internet (using Skype, etc.) has begun.
At the entrance briefing, professors were dispatched from Kyoto, and even in cases where professors were unable to attend, a system was set up to allow direct communication between participants and faculty members in Kyoto via an Internet connection, in order to answer participants' various questions and convey the features of KCGI's education. This has also allowed us to increase the number of briefing sessions.
The next information session will be held on Saturday, October 20.
