Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, a native of Vietnam who served as Vice President and Professor at The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) until 2022, and currently Visiting Professor, was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette in the 2025 Fall Decoration for his contributions to promoting friendly relations, academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam.All of us at KCG extend our heartfelt congratulations.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh completed his PhD in Engineering from the Graduate School of Fundamental Engineering, The University of Osaka, and served as Honorary Doctor of Toyohashi University of Technology, President of the University of Engineering and Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-UET) , and President of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, University of Technology and Technology before becoming Vice President of KCGI in 2019.He also served as president of the Association of Japanese Students in Vietnam (currently honorary president).
The Order of the Rising Sun is "awarded to those who have made outstanding achievements in various fields of society, focusing on the content of their accomplishments.
