On January 25, 2024, the Kyoto Information Industry Association (Chairman: Wataru Hasegawa, President of KCG Group), which has its secretariat at Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), held a New Year's Seminar at the 6th floor hall of KCG Kyoto Ekimae Campus, jointly sponsored by KCG, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Prefecture Small and Medium Enterprise Center.Mr. Takashi Tokuda, President of Keigan Co., Ltd. gave a lecture titled "Keigan, an on-site approach aiming at quick introduction of robots," which was attended by members of the association as well as students from KCG and KCGI.
Keigan Co., Ltd. has a vision of "contributing to society and humanity by providing a wide range of mechanisms that enable the quick and easy creation and use of robots that are useful to people.KeiganMotor®, a motor-applied product born from the idea of "putting functionality into the motor itself," and KeiganALI, an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) that can be easily and quickly introduced to the field, are currently under development and are increasingly being used not only in factories but also in restaurants and other service fields.Mr. Tokuda introduced in detail the difficulties he encountered in the field and his sense of accomplishment, using case examples and demonstrations with actual equipment.
In his speech, Mr. Tokuda spoke passionately, "In the growing robotics market, I would like to explore the possibilities of new ways of working by focusing on the power of the user.
