NAIS Distinguished Lecture Meeting on the Forefront of Research

On November 11th (Friday), NAIS Special Lecture and The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics Founding Lecture “Frontier of Research on Human Centric Computing” was held at Kyoto Information University University Kyoto University Hall.Mr. Yoshinori Yaginuma, General Manager of Human Solutions Research Department, Human-Centric Computing Research Laboratory, Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. was invited as a lecturer, and the audience nodded their heads in agreement with his interesting glimpse into the forefront of human-centered computer research.

After joining Fujitsu Laboratories, Mr. Yanaginuma has been engaged in research and development of neural networks, sensor data fusion, parallel computer applications, and data mining algorithms and system applications.He was a visiting researcher at Imperial College, UK, from 1999 to 2000, and has been working on the development of human-centric computing technologies and human solutions since 2009.

NAIS, which hosted the lecture, is the Japanese branch of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), an international society for information systems.Since its establishment in August 2004, an office has been set up at the The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) facility, and members are widely recruited regardless of academia and industry.
