Mr. Hirose, who graduated from the Kyoto Computer Graphics Institute (KCGI) in March 2024 and is working as a data scientist at a venture company in Tokyo, was selected as the winner of the annual award from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) Services Computing Research Group.Mr. Hirose's presentation, "Proposal of a Method to Support the Creation of Examination Questions Using ChatGPT and Linked Open Data," at a regular research meeting held at the National Institute of Informatics in March 2024, received high praise and was selected for this award.
Hirose, utilizing what he learned in the KCGI Artificial Intelligence Specialty, proposed a method to process data from past problems using ChatGPT and generate similar problems using Linked Open Data and other methods in order to support the creation of short multiple-choice questions that place a heavy burden on the question taker. As an evaluation of the method, we verified the effectiveness of the method by verifying the generation results and conducting experiments to verify the work efficiency improvement through the use of ChatGPT.The results of the study were compiled and presented at the workshop and were highly evaluated.
KCGI has two areas of expertise: information and management. The nine specialized fields of study include: IT Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Web System Development, Network Management, Global Entrepreneurship, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), IT Manga/Animation, Tourism IT, and IT Entertainment.
