The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) are manga and anime festivals "Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2012" (abbreviation: Kyo Mafu) Will be exhibiting at.
Kyomafu is the largest manga and anime trade fair in western Japan, organized by Kyoto City and sponsored by KCGI and KCG.From September 21 (Fri.) to 23 (Sun.), the main venue will be the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall (Miyakomesse) in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, where publishers, animation production companies, video manufacturers, broadcasters and others will hold exhibitions and various stage events.KCGI and KCG will exhibit student works and also introduce KCGI's lectures for animation.
Also, at the Kyoto International Manga Museum in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, as part of Kyo-Mafu, a special exhibition by Gainax, a production company for which Professor Yasuhiro Takeda, KCGI, serves as Director and General Manager of the Animation Production Division, entitled "Gainax's Way of Creating Animation: A Group of People Create Animation!~The exhibition will be held from September 22 (Sat.) to December 24 (Mon.), 2012.On the 22nd, as the opening event, there will be a talk session "Talking about the Gainax way of animation", and Professor Takeda will participate in it.
