Dr. Katsumasa Watanabe, who retired in September 2021, was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in the autumn of the same year for his efforts in human resource development in the field of information and management as a professor of Kyoto Institute of Information Science.All of us in the KCG Group would like to express our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for your achievements to date.
D. in Mathematical Engineering from Kyoto University, Dr. Watanabe served as an assistant professor at Kyoto University, a professor at Fukui University, and a professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology before becoming a professor at KCGI, where he taught courses such as Introduction to Web Technologies, Web Service Construction Techniques, and Honors Master Thesis.He is also a Fellow of the Information Processing Society of Japan and a Professor Emeritus at Nara Institute of Science and Technology.
According to the Cabinet Office, the Order of the Sacred Treasure is "awarded to those who have accumulated meritorious service and achievement through years of engagement in public service or public affairs of the national or local governments.Dr. Watanabe was awarded the prize for distinguished service in education and research.
