The annular solar eclipse observation meeting was held.

An observation session was held on the rooftop of the Million-Uniform School of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) on Monday, May 21, when the topic of the annular solar eclipse was raised nationwide.

From early in the morning, many students, faculty members, and staff members, including members of the Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) Astronomy Club, who had been waiting for this day, gathered at the observing site. Each of them put the eclipse glasses on their eyes and shouted with joy when they saw the sun starting to disappear.

At first, the weather was cloudy and we were worried, but as the time of the annular eclipse approached, the clouds disappeared from around the sun, and it became an ideal day for observation. The area became dim as if it were evening, and we saw strange phenomena that we don't usually see, such as a person's shadow blurring into a double image, and light passing through a hole in a shirt forming a crescent shape.

When the annular eclipse began at around 7:30, participants pressed their glasses to their eyes and looked at the eclipse as if they were gazing into it, or sighed and were intoxicated by the mystery of the universe.
