On August 2, 2024, a public hearing was held in the main lecture room of the main building at the Hyakumanben Campus of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), where students presented the results of their projects on a variety of themes, including artificial intelligence, data science, and marketing, as the culmination of two years of study and research. The professors judged the entries, and the students answered the questions posed to them with sincerity, providing a great stimulus to the younger students who observed the event.
KCGI's Master Project is a required course that focuses on the practical application of ICT and the use of technology, and aims to help students develop an awareness of their own problems, analyze them, and propose solutions.Compared to the traditional research-based master's thesis in the master's program, the master's thesis is not only a study of new knowledge creation, but also a practical project that utilizes and applies existing tools and other resources. As the culmination of their studies, the program aims to provide an opportunity for students to apply ICT in practical ways to improve the real world and people's lives.
