The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) will increase the number of students enrolled in 2018 from 360 to 360.We have recently submitted a notification of change to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.This is a continuation of the 2016 increase and is 4.5 times the enrollment capacity of 80 students when the school opened in 2004.
With the spread of social networking and the development of cloud computing, IT for business applications continues to advance.In addition, it is reported that there is an absolute shortage of IT personnel for system construction and security related to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.Under these circumstances, the University of Tokyo has been attracting attention for its ability to nurture top leaders in the field of IT applications and produce talented individuals, and the number of applicants from Japan and overseas has been increasing rapidly.In response to this situation, the University has decided to increase the number of students in order to meet the demands of society.
Due to the increase in enrollment, the capacity will be 600 students in the 2018 academic year and 720 students in the 2019 academic year and thereafter.
