On April 1, 2025, Kyoto College of Guraduate School of Informatics (KCGI) welcomed many new students and held a welcome party for new students organized by the Student Association at the Hyakumanben Campus of KCGI Kyoto.First, KCGI President Yoichi Terashita greeted the participants, saying, "I know the two years will pass in a flash, but let's work hard together in our studies with a global perspective.Faculty and staff members who will support the students in their future lives also offered words of welcome.
The new students, who had been a bit nervous during the orientation and course counseling, seemed relaxed and enjoyed games and snacks prepared by senior members of the student council.The conversation with my new friends was very lively with anticipation for the academic and student life to come.
KCGI has increased its enrollment capacity to 1,000 students beginning in the 2025 academic year, 12.5 times the 80 students enrolled when the school opened in 2004.With admission periods in April and October, many international students from all over the world study at the school.The nine specialized fields of study include: IT Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Web System Development, Network Management, Global Entrepreneurship, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), IT Manga/Animation, Tourism IT, and IT Entertainment.
