The Sichuan earthquake of magnitude 8 that occurred on May 12, 2008 in China caused enormous damage, including 100,000 dead or missing, and many people are still forced to live as evacuees due to the collapse of houses and disruption of roads. The students who have studied abroad from China at The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics and Kyoto Computer Gakuin are deeply amazed by the disaster of their home country.
We can't go to the disaster area for relief, but we want to do what we can for the people who are in trouble. Chinese students of Kyoto Institute of Information and Kyoto Computer Gakuin got together and formed "kcg.edu Chinese Students Association for Reconstruction of Earthquake Affected Area" (Representative: Mr. Xuan Ming Cheng, Kyoto Institute of Information). We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With the cooperation of Kyoto Institute of Information and Kyoto Computer Gakuin, we will be conducting a fund-raising campaign for the same purpose on the Internet.Your goodwill will be transferred to the Japanese Red Cross Society through the school and will be used for the support and relief of the victims and the reconstruction of the affected areas.
Many people in Japan are supporting us.I would like to share this with the local people. We hope that you will understand the purpose of this project and cooperate with us.
