The KCG Group, which boasts a history and track record in computer and IT education, attracts young people from Japan and abroad who have their sights set on the future.Against the backdrop of society's strong demand for highly skilled IT personnel, KCGI's enrollment capacity has increased to 1,000 students, 12.5 times the number when the school opened in 2025, and the ceremony was held in two sessions: KCG, KJLTC, KCGI, and KCGM in the morning and KCG international students in the afternoon.A beautiful spring day with cherry blossoms in full bloom.The main hall was filled with smiling faces of hopeful new students and their parents.
After showing a video introducing the history of KCG and the KCG Group, which was founded in 1963 as the first computer education institution in Japan, Wataru Hasegawa, President of KCGI, KCG, and KCGM, delivered the ceremonial address.President Hasegawa said, "In recent years, the IT field has continued to make tremendous progress and development.Cyberspace has developed dramatically with the remarkable spread of the Internet, and has become an indispensable "place that connects people to each other.Founded as an educational institution at the dawn of the computer age, TUAT has been involved in the cutting edge of the Internet field since its earliest days.In such a university, I hope that you will learn IT to the fullest and become students who are at the forefront of the times," he said.He added, "While you are in school, make as many friends as you can that you will treasure for a lifetime.Please encourage your friends to work hard together to improve their skills.I hope that you will follow in the footsteps of our outstanding seniors and become confident graduates and carve out a bright future for yourselves," he encouraged.
KCGI President Yoichi Terashita then delivered the ceremonial address.President Terashita said, "In the future, AI will continue to develop as the technological foundation of society.In order to reduce the negative effects as much as possible, it is necessary for professional engineers to disseminate accurate information widely and participate in social enlightenment activities to guide the thinking of society as a whole in the right direction, in other words, to participate in any way possible.He added, "Over the next few years, you will learn a great deal of theory and technology related to IT and AI.In doing so, I hope you will also learn about the ethical way of thinking that I have just described," he said, welcoming the new students.
Following this, Mr. Kawaguchi of KCGI's Graduate School of Applied Information Technology, majoring in Web Business Technology (from KCG's Game Department), gave the first part of the pledge as a representative of new students, and Mr. Berlino of KCG's Information Processing Department (from Indonesia) gave the second part of the pledge.We believe that our mission as information engineers is to create a rich, safe, and comfortable society in which everyone can effectively use necessary information.I will strive to grow every day, aiming to cultivate not only specialized knowledge and skills but also "abundant creativity" in order to contribute to the realization of an ideal information society," he pledged emphatically.
After the ceremony, the new students received their student ID cards and started their new academic life.After the first session, a parent-teacher conference was held.
