The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015 caused enormous damage, including 4,000 deaths and more than 7,000 injured victims, and many people are still forced to live in evacuation shelters due to collapsed houses and blocked roads. Not only students from Nepal at The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics and Kyoto Computer Gakuin, but also faculty members and all students, I am deeply touched by the misery that has been reported.I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the precious lives that were lost in this tragedy, as well as my deepest sympathy.I also hope that the injured people will recover as soon as possible and that the affected areas will be restored.
We can't go to the disaster area, but we would like to do what we can to help those who are suffering from the disaster, so we are planning a fund-raising activity by volunteers from Kyoto Institute of Information and Kyoto Computer Gakuin. We would like to use your goodwill for the support and relief of the victims and the reconstruction of the disaster area.
