Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) held intensive lectures by faculty members of Kyoto Computer Guraduate Institute (KCGI) at its sister school, Tianjin University of Science and Technology in China, for three weeks from the end of August to mid-September, 2024.Every year, the faculty members visit Tianjin University of Science and Technology to give lectures in Japanese to 2nd to 4th year students of the Japan-China Joint Venture Information Processing Course in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the university.Courses include "Algorithm Fundamentals," "Software Processes and UML Practice," and "PHP Practicum. With the help of their classmates serving as Teaching Assistants (TAs), the students, who regularly study IT and Japanese, were able to understand the lessons in Japanese and eagerly asked questions to the teachers.

The students talked about their dreams for the future, such as "I have traveled to Japan with my family, but next time I want to go as a foreign exchange student," and "I want to improve my Japanese and work in Japan.

KCG and Tianjin University of Science and Technology entered into a sister school affiliation in 1999, and in 2000, KCG established a joint program, "KCG Course at Tianjin University of Science and Technology" at the same university. The curriculum of this course, designed by KCG, is an unprecedented and innovative fusion of Japanese language and computer education. Those who wish to do so can study abroad at KCG for one year in their third year to acquire more specialized IT skills and knowledge. In 2008, with the full support of KCG, the first Department of Automotive Control in China was established at the university.
