summary
In recent years, the term diagnostic imaging has come into common use. This is because the development of medical imaging equipment, beginning with X-rays, has enabled physicians to diagnose and treat patients by externally examining (observing) the internal information of the human body.Recently, high-definition 3D data of the human body has been acquired and stored in computers as digital human bodies, enabling measurement, processing, and display in real time. The basic concepts of image data processing and the extraction of diagnostic data from these results will be described, followed by examples of applications using cardiac-related images. We will also discuss issues that need to be resolved in the future.
