The Kyoto International Manga & Anime Fair (KYOMAFU) 2016, co-hosted by The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), will be held on September 17 (Sat.) and 18 (Sun.), the fair's executive committee announced on April 14.The venues are the same as in previous years: Kyoto Kangyo Kan (Miyako Messe) and Kyoto International Manga Museum.
The fair's executive committee states that the purpose of the fair is "to promote the contents market in the Kansai region by creating business matching opportunities between companies in the Kansai region and those in the Tokyo metropolitan area, creating a market for the development of talented young creators in the Kansai region, and developing a new audience of manga animation fans and tourists, including foreign residents.KCG Group plans to have a booth on the day of the event and to participate in various other events.
