Shigeto Amatake, a graduate of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and president of Stucco Corporation, which specializes in the import and installation (plastering) of Italian plaster, is attracting attention for his "plasterer x AI" activities.Mr. Amatake experimentally utilized a generative AI to represent the finished image of plastering by a craftsman. This initiative was introduced in the feature article "How to live with AI" in the April issue of Nikkei Design magazine.
Mr. Amatake has expanded the scope of his work to date by building his own systems using the knowledge and technology he learned at KCGI.We are always thinking of ways to create synergy between architecture and IT, and we are trying to fuse cutting-edge IT with traditional plastering techniques, and we also hold study sessions and exchange events in the area of architecture x AI.We have seized a business opportunity by creating new designs through the use of this generative AI and being able to convey the image to our customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
Mr. Amatake states, "We will continue to combine information technology with the architectural domain to disseminate approaches that large firms cannot venture into.
An interview with Mr. Amatake is posted in the "Voices of Entrepreneurs and Managers Who Have Spread Their Wings from KCGI.
