KCGI has joined "University Consortium Kyoto".

Since 2014, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) has joined the “University Consortium Kyoto”, which is organized for the purpose of improving educational and academic standards in collaboration with universities based in Kyoto. .In the future, KCGI will widely announce open lectures and seminars offered by KCGI through the University Consortium Kyoto, as well as the recruitment of non-degree students and auditing students.

In addition, KCGI will announce the holding of a lecture on ".kyoto," a top-level domain for geographical names, which KCGI will start operating in fiscal 2014 as a registry operator, to widely invite university students in Kyoto to participate in the lecture.

As of April 2014, 51 universities and junior colleges based in Kyoto, two local governments (Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City), four economic organizations, and 15 supporting members are members of the organization, which is the forerunner of other university cooperation organizations in Japan.The scale is one of the largest in Japan.In addition to support and scholarship programs for students, the center is engaged in the following projects: training and exchange for faculty members; international cooperation and exchange; planning and coordination of cooperation between universities and high schools; and research and study on industry-academia-government cooperation.The secretariat is located in "Campus Plaza Kyoto" near JR Kyoto Station.
