Prof. Toshihide Ibaraki will be appointed as the 3rd President of KCGI as of April 1, 2010.The term of office is two years, ending on March 31, 2012.
The decision was made at a meeting of the board of directors of Kyoto College of Information Industry, the school corporation that operates KCGI.

Toshihide Ibaraki
Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University, and received a master's degree in electronic engineering from the same university.He specializes in mathematical engineering (algorithms, optimization).Professor Emeritus, Kyoto University.He has served as Dean of the Graduate School of Informatics at Kyoto University, Research Fellow at the University of Illinois, Professor at Toyohashi University of Technology, and Professor at Kwansei Gakuin University.Professor at KCGI since April 2009.He is a Fellow of the ACM, the Operations Research Society of Japan, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, the Information Processing Society of Japan, and the Japanese Society for Applied Mathematics.
