On January 19, 2026, the Kyoto Information Industry Association (Chairman: Wataru Hasegawa, President of KCG Group, Kyoto Information Association), which has its secretariat at Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), held a New Year Seminar in the 6th floor hall of KCG Kyoto Ekimae Campus, jointly with Kyoto College of Information Technology (KCGI), KCG and Kyoto Prefecture Small and Medium Enterprise Center.Mr. Yuji Kawakubo, President of Tmsuk Corporation, gave a lecture titled "Rebuilding the Robot Nation and Further Growth," which was attended by members of the association and students from KCG and KCGI.
Mr. Kawakubo describes himself as a "robot enthusiast to the core," having immersed himself in the autonomous robot competition "RoboCup" during his school days, and says, "The most challenging challenge is the most rewarding.
In his lecture, he introduced more than 40 types of robots that Tmsuk has developed to date, including a variety of robots for construction, sewer pipe survey, medical patient type, and disaster relief.He explained about the "Make Japan Interesting" initiative to accelerate the spread of "Workroid" robots, which are neither industrial robots nor communication robots, but robots that coexist with humans and work in the field, with the mission of "freeing people from dangerous work and realizing what people cannot do".Next-generation smart mobility was demonstrated, and participants watched with great interest.
At the "Future Environment Lab," which was jointly established by KCG Group and BIPROGY Corporation's Institute of General Technology with the aim of fostering the next generation of IT personnel through collaboration between industry and academia, several robots created by Tmsuk were on display, and students listened intently to the explanations before and after the seminar.
