The Kyoto Shimbun featured the results of an industry-academia collaborative project conducted by Kyoto College of Computer Science and Graduate Institute (KCGI) and Cyber Kyoto Laboratory (CKL), which manage and operate ".kyoto", together with iMatrix Corporation (West Japan Office: Kyoto City), which develops and sells information security products, and Data Conversion Laboratory Inc.This project is aimed at developing new information security technology for enterprises, and was supported by the Kyoto Prefectural Government and Kyoto Sangyo 21, a public interest incorporated foundation for promoting industry-academia collaboration for fostering local industries.CKL and the two companies have jointly developed "Kyoto Security," a system that stops damage caused by phishing sites at the water's edge.This is a new technology that blocks the connection when you are about to be led to a malicious site, and has the advantage of not requiring the installation of special software.In the midst of the growing interest in information security in response to the recent spate of cyber crimes, we were featured in the Kyoto Shimbun on September 9, 2017, and were able to appeal the results of the industry-academia collaboration project CKL was involved in to society at large.
