On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) and the 20th anniversary of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), the Alumni Association Reunion was held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the new building of KCGI Hyakumanben Campus, organized by the Executive Committee consisting of KCGI graduates, in order to further activate the Alumni Association by expanding and strengthening networks among alumni.KCGI alumni, KCG graduates, and current students from both schools, as well as faculty and staff, participated.The reunion was a joyous one, with many familiar faces here and there.The committee plans to organize many more events for alumni to attend in the future.Alumni, please come and visit your alma mater.
The first part of the tour included a visit to the new building of KCGI Hyakumanben Campus, which will be completed in the summer of 2022.The graduates were amazed by the large school building and modern facilities.The recent activities of the KCG group were also introduced, and we witnessed the increasing enrollment capacity and the ever-growing development of our alma mater.
In the second part, Wataru Hasegawa, President of KCGI/KCG/Kyoto College of Motor Vehicles (KCGM), spoke about the significance of the Alumni Association.I hope you will also make use of the 'ken-en' (ken of intellect), which is the result of personal choice and effort, rather than geographical or blood ties, for your own business as well," he said.In the "Recent Reports" by alumni and current students, current students were greatly inspired by the alumni who are taking on a variety of challenges and playing active roles.
The reception began with an address by KCGI President Shinji Tomita and a toast by KCGI President Wataru Hasegawa.While enjoying food and drink, the participants talked about memories, each other's recent situations, business, and various other topics, and many new networks were created.
