The first lecture commemorating the 50th anniversary will be held jointly with NAIS!

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of its founding in 2013, KCG Group will hold a lecture entitled "Trends and Issues in the Content Business" at the Kyoto Station Satellite Hall of the The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012, as the first of its 50th anniversary commemorative lectures, jointly with NAIS.Mr. Keiichi Murakami, Senior Managing Director of Digital Media Association (formerly of Fujitsu Limited), will be the featured speaker.

Lecture "About the Festival of the Ages," an event recommended by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, was held.

A lecture on the Jidai Matsuri, known as one of the three major festivals in Kyoto along with the Aoi Matsuri and the Gion Matsuri, was held on Friday, October 19 at the Kyoto Ekimae Satellite Hall of the Kyoto Institute of Information Science as an event recommended by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology during the "Education and Culture Week.KCG advisor Dr. Teiichiro Yoneda, in conversation with KCG's Dr. Hideki Yushita, gave an hour-long presentation on the origin, history, and highlights of the Jidai Matsuri.

Professor Tsukamoto emphasized "HMD is about to break out, enter the market" in his lecture at the Kyoto International Association for Information Technology.

The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) Sapporo Satellite uses the internet connection to answer the participants' questions for the entrance briefing.

The Sapporo Satellite opened this spring and offers unique lectures by Sapporo-based professors such as Professor Masaki Nakamura (Representative of Desic Co., Ltd.), as well as e-learning classes that are interactive between the main school in Kyoto and the satellite.In addition, seminar instruction (career-enhancing courses) via Internet connection (using Skype, etc.) has started this fall.

Alumni Association Executive Committee Meeting Held -- Ahead of Next Year's 50th Anniversary

The Alumni Association Executive Committee for next year's KCG 50th anniversary celebration was held on Saturday, June 6, with about 40 KCGI and KCG alumni in attendance.Alumni enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere of their alma mater and pledged to make the commemorative event a success in celebrating this major milestone.
