Response to H1N1 Influenza

Dear Students

On April 29, the World Health Organization (WHO) raised the alert status of a new influenza pandemic from "Phase 4" to "Phase 5.

The kcg.edu group is committed to collecting information and will take necessary actions based on the decisions of WHO and the competent ministries.

At this time (May 1), we would like to alert you to the following, and ask for your cooperation.

If the situation changes in the future, information will be communicated to you via the University's website and campus portal, etc., as necessary.

Dr. Hiroshi Hagiwara, the first president emeritus of The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon at the 2009 Spring Conferment of Decoration.Dr. Hagiwara became president of KCGI, Japan's first IT professional graduate school, at the same time it opened in April 2004.Since then, he served as President until March 2008.

IT Talent Joins the Team

The 2009 entrance ceremony for the The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) was held on Saturday, April 11, at the Kyoto Ekimae Satellite, welcoming many students who will become future IT industry leaders.The representative of the new students made a strong pledge: "With dreams and high aspirations, I will persevere in my efforts and take on the challenge of building a new information society.

We will be happy to answer your questions at the Kyoto Computer Gakuin Corner at the various college counseling sessions around the country.

Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), a group school of Kyoto Computer Gakuin, will be participating in the college counseling sessions in each region.
We will also introduce KCGI's school, so please join us.

KCG becomes "Museum of Distributed Computing

The first certification was granted by the Information Processing Society of Japan!

Introduction of Projects Completed in 2008

At The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), in the second year of the second year, we will work on a course completion project that can be called the culmination of knowledge acquired so far.The project for the completion of the course has the same significance as a master's thesis in a conventional research graduate school in terms of the awarding of degrees.

Agreement with City College of Dalian University of Technology, China, to Promote Joint Educational Programs

On January 18, 2009, KCGI and City Institute of Dalian University of Technology in China signed an agreement on joint educational programs.In the future, we plan to accept students from the City College of Dalian University of Technology and train them as highly-skilled professionals who are proficient in Japanese and IT.
