Kyoto Institute of Information Science and Technology (KISIS) has decided to conclude an agreement for mutual cooperation with the Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (IIST) (President: Tatsutaro Ishijima), a graduate school of information science and technology similar to KISIS, in order to smoothly promote efforts to foster highly specialized information technology engineers.

In the "2007 Japanese Programming Contest," Mr. Satoshi Murakami, a student of Kyoto Computer Gakuin at the time of submission of his work, won the Gold Prize for his Doolittle's work.

The Japanese Programming Contest was first held in 2007 to promote and revitalize the Japanese programming language.Six programming languages are available for participation: Sunflower, Nadeshiko, Aoi, TTSneo, Prodel, and Doolittle.
