KCG Group and Doga Corporation (2-5-11 Nihonbashi-Nishi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka City) will hold the "CG Ani Cup 2012" (supported by the Embassy of Denmark and KYOTO CMEX, in cooperation with Google and Dwango), a project to support human resource development in media arts by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, on Saturday, October 27, from 7:00 pm at KCG Kyoto Ekimae Campus.Representatives from Japan, the EU and Taiwan will compete in a CG animation competition.This will be preceded by a screening of selected works from the CG Animation Contest, which received entries from all over Japan, at 3:00 p.

Alumni Association Executive Committee Meeting Held -- Ahead of Next Year's 50th Anniversary

The Alumni Association Executive Committee for next year's KCG 50th anniversary celebration was held on Saturday, June 6, with about 40 KCGI and KCG alumni in attendance.Alumni enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere of their alma mater and pledged to make the commemorative event a success in celebrating this major milestone.

Exhibiting at the e-Learning Awards 2012 Forum

The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) this year will be the only comprehensive forum in Japan that introduces, presents, and discusses “the present and future surrounding e-Learning” with abundant examples. Kyoto International Manga & Anime Fair 2012 was held!

Kyoto International Manga & Anime Fair 2012 (KYOMAFU), a manga and anime festival co-sponsored by KCGI and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG), was held at Kyoto Municipal Kangyo Kan (Miyakomesse) from September 21 to 23, 2012.KyoMafu is the largest manga and anime trade fair in western Japan.In addition to exhibits by publishers, animation production companies, video makers, and broadcasters, a variety of stage events were held featuring voice actors and other performers.The venue was literally overflowing with manga and anime fans.Many people stopped by the KCGI and KCG booths.

Kyoto International Manga/Anime Fair 2012 begins

The Kyoto International Manga/Anime Fair 2012 (KIMAF), a manga and anime festival sponsored by KCGI and KCG, opened on Friday, March 21 at the Kyoto Municipal Industrial Exhibition Hall (Miyako Messe) in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City.KYOMAFU is the largest manga/anime trade fair in western Japan, organized by Kyoto City and others and supported by KCGI and KCG.Publishers, animation production companies, video makers, and broadcasting stations will exhibit their works, and a variety of stage events will be held.KCGI and KCG will exhibit student works and introduce KCGI's lectures for animation.

The KCGI Degree Conferral Ceremony and KCG Graduation Ceremony for the first semester of 2012 were held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at the main hall of the satellite in front of Kyoto Station, Kyoto Institute of Information Science.The students who have studied together at KCG Group have left with the desire to "make the best use of the knowledge they have learned and contribute to society.
