KCG Summer Festa 2017 is a great success!Thank you for coming

Kyoto Computer Gakuin, Kyoto University of Information Sciences, Kyoto Automobile College, and other KCG groups are trying to interact with the local community as a more open educational institution, Saturday and Sunday, July to August 2017, Kyoto Computer Gakuin Kyoto KCG Summer Festa 2017 (supported by Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City Board of Education) was held at the school in front of the station.Many elementary and junior high school students and local residents participated in various events.Thank you very much.

The “KCG Summer Festa” is held every year in conjunction with “Kandoki” on July 2nd, the date of death of the founder and founder of the KCG group, Shigeo Hasegawa.

A lot of people came to attend a lecture by Mr. Ayame, who is in charge of the keyboard of the popular music group “Skyenro Opera” and is a visiting professor at Kyoto University of Information Graduate Studies.Music has evolved greatly influenced by the technology of that era.Mr. Ayame has unraveled the history and future of technology related to music, from classic musical instruments and performance equipment to digital music using computers.The lecture was also distributed to Kyoto Information Graduate University Tokyo Satellite.

Participants experienced the vast universe while viewing 3D glasses and watching astronomical images.There are about 1 trillion x 100 billion stars in the universe.One of these countless stars is the sun, and we are small beings on the earth that orbit the sun.Participants were thinking about the endless universe while receiving explanations from Prof. Seichiro Aoki, Associate Professor of Kyoto University of Information Sciences, who was in charge of the workshop.This workshop was supported by the Astronomical Observatory / Astronomy Promotion Project Office, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University.

This is an annual popular course for elementary school children.While learning the programming with the main operation of the mouse, the students started making games.The challenge was to create a game that catches the apple where the character falls, and all the teachers and student staff at Kyoto Computer Gakuin were able to complete the game safely and show smiles.

Along with the KCG group CM video, we had a real experience of “after-recording” recording the lines and narration of the KCG mascot character “Kyokotan”.Kyoto Computer Gakuin Information processing department IT voice actor course teachers received speech and utterance guidance, and enjoyed the process of animation production such as recording in the studio using "Digital Sound Studio" in the school in front of Kyoto Station .Some participants were nervous because it was their first studio recording, but when they wore headphones and headed to the microphone, they all performed as “Kokotan”.Parents and guardians had their children's “brave figure” in video and photos.

The KCG Computer Museum stores many historically valuable computers.A large number of children and parents participated, and while watching the equipment displayed in the museum, we learned about the history of computer development and actually moved a precious old personal computer to compare its performance with the latest personal computer. Many people participated to fill the concert hall in front of KCG Kyoto Station.Part 1 enjoyed the flute quartet, piano solo, solo and double singing.The second part is the song “Kimi wa Hana i wa kaze” (singer / songwriter, Tsukasa Umehara), recorded by KCG group chorus circle U-Choir in Japanese, English, Chinese, etc. Participants challenged Mr. Taira's lyrics and composition).Under the guidance of Circle Advisor Yohei Kashimura, everyone went up to the stage and chorused.In the same hall, which has a reputation for good acoustics, we listened and sang and enjoyed the music.

August 20th (Sun), Kyoto Computer Gakuin Technical College (Tohoku School)
It is an annual popular workshop that reaches the capacity in a short time after the recruitment of participants starts.This year too, many children and parents participated.While studying the mechanism of electronic circuits using microcomputers and the role of electronic components, we challenged the creation of Kyoto Computer Gakuin's original electronic thermometer that operates using dedicated software.Prof. Eiji Kubota, the head of the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto Computer Gakuin, and the head of the Shohoku School, and the student staff carefully gave guidance.The finished product was brought home with a pleasant memory of summer vacation.This workshop was co-sponsored by the Kyoto City Board of Education and Miyako Children ’s Saturday School.
