Mr. Lee Hong-hee, former professor of KCGI, became Korea ’s personal information protection committee chairman (minister level)

Mr. Hong-sub Lee, who once taught as a professor at Kyoto University of Information Studies (KCGI), has recently been appointed by the Korean government as the chairman (minister level) of the presidential personal information protection committee.The term of office is from May 30, 2016 to May 2019.As in Japan, South Korea is urgently intensifying information security.With the knowledge and experience of Prof. Lee, the expectations of the Korean government and the public will be gathered.

Former professor Lee has left KCGI to become president of Korea's Chief Information Protection Council (CISO).At the same time, he is also a member of the commissioner of the Personal Information Protection Committee reporting directly to the Presidential Office of Korea and a professor at Konkuk University.A guest came to the KCG Group 50th Anniversary Ceremony held at the Kyoto International Conference Center on June 1, 2013, and gave a congratulatory speech.
