Message
There are various businesses related to the ocean that occupies 70% of the earth, and in recent years, marine technology has also evolved significantly due to the development of IT.With regard to ship operations, navigation safety is improving day by day through forecasting of hull movements during navigation, ensuring safe operation by analyzing maneuverability, and by predicting weather and sea conditions using GPS amongst other means.
In lectures, students will be introduced to the latest technologies related to ships and learn the mechanisms of navigation systems through experiments using training vessels.

Achievements
Since 1986, Mr. Ono has been working for a company related to marine business.He has extensive practical experience in the marine business, including a wealth of knowledge about ship structures, ship handling techniques, and ship engines, as well as experience in operating ships.He also has knowledge of making voyage plans based on weather predictions by observing the weather.
Mr. Ono has a great deal of experience in the navigation services required in the marine business, which he acquired during his voyages from Ginowan, Okinawa to Osaka, Osaka to Toyama, and Tokyo to Osaka, based on voyage plans he prepared himself.
He is also an expert in other marine-related affairs, and utilizes his expertise by serving as an instructor for yachts, cutter boats, canoes, and windsurfing.
