The Japan Society for Applied Information (NAIS) aims to contribute to cultivation of human resources in related fields, education in relation to IoT related business technology, and development of the industry while promoting mutual cooperation and improvement of quality among members through activities such as academic seminars and the publication of journal articles, The ultimate aim is to promote science and related technology related to the application of computers and information technology.

* The Society was founded in August 2004 as the 13th in the world of the American Association for Information Systems (AIS) and the first branch in Japan.Since then, it has contributed to the spread of information technology through various activities in Japan.Currently, it is renamed as the Japan Society for Applied Information, and an office is set up in the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics.
