Since its founding, our university has been working to build an IT-based learning environment (KING-LMS), and as part of this effort, we have implemented a learning management system developed by Blackboard, Inc. of the United States.
KING-LMS provides a learning environment that allows students to access the system from anywhere—including the Hyakumanben Campus at the Kyoto Main Campus, the Kyoto Station Satellite Campus, the Sapporo Satellite Campus, the Tokyo Satellite Campus, the Athens Satellite Campus (Greece), or their own homes—using a PC or smartphone, enabling them to view course content, submit assignments, and contact instructors.
The Main Building at the Hyakumanben Campus of our Kyoto Main School features classrooms designed for hybrid learning, allowing students to attend hybrid classes from anywhere without distinction.In classrooms equipped with the Hi-Flex system, the camera tracks the instructor’s movements as they move around the room, allowing students participating in classes online to see the instructor’s face while they attend.In addition, since the students’ images are displayed on the large monitor in the classroom and they can ask questions and converse using microphones and speakers, students can participate in the class just as effectively regardless of where they are located.
Our next-generation education system supports a rich learning experience through classes delivered in real-time online, on-demand, or in a hybrid format that combines in-person and real-time online sessions.
