Message

Education, whether high or low level, is becoming increasingly important worldwide, but the academic and educational systems in the United States in particular are having a major impact on other countries. My classes focus on how education in the United States (especially the pre-K-12 level) interacts with education in other countries.

As a student studying at the Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, regardless of your academic background, country of origin, or life experience, you know that education makes a significant contribution to global technology, arts, and culture.By studying the American education system - its policies, curriculum, assessment, special education, bilingual education, etc. - you can understand how these complex systems function and how to best utilize these functions.Using the situation in New York State and New York City as examples, we will conduct a comparative study of the situation in the United States with that in other countries. We can use the understanding gained from these studies to contribute to reforming the education system in our own countries.
