Message

Become IT engineers with practical applications in the real world by identifying appropriate information.

If you want to know about something, you can obtain lots of information just by searching the Internet. However, the information you'll find is like a mixture of cobblestones; it is not easy to judge the value of the contents, including truths and falsities. In order to extract useful and reliable information, it is necessary to constantly study so that the essence can be ascertained from various perspectives.

My field of specialty is image processing. We have extracted information necessary for diagnosis and treatment from medical images, and have conducted research and development on images used in various fields, such as research on automatic extraction of internal organs and blood vessels and display of diagnostic information, and image correction with an emphasis on sensitivity. In this graduate school, we are dealing with the development of theoretical and practical methods of innovative and advanced methods of expression for images with such rich, expressive information, as well as methods for extracting that information contained in images from various angles and their uses.

Images, as well as information, can be at the mercy of noise or false information if not processed with careful and discerning insight.I look forward to seeing off young, competent IT engineers who can effectively identify appropriate information and apply it in the real world.
