Message

I have been involved in software engineering since the dawn of the industry, starting with the development of PBX (private branch exchange) software for communication network systems. I have also experienced the planning and development of mobile phone software and the commercialization of middleware for mobile application platforms. Mobile phones in particular are a core part of mobile technology for promoting digital transformation, and will continue to be an important technology for IoT.

In this new era of change, the industry is looking to universities and other educational institutions for people who can utilize advanced specialized technology. Traditionally, human resource development in the industry has mainly involved acquiring practical skills through OJT (On-the-Job Training). However, in the IT industry, where technology is rapidly evolving and specialized technologies are becoming more sophisticated and complex, it is urgent for educational institutions to systematically teach practical technical skills and develop human resources who can be immediately put to work.

In addition to learning technologies such as IoT, wireless, and AI that are important for promoting DX, students are required to have the ability to properly evaluate and utilize third-party specialized technologies (DB, AI engine, sensor), open technologies (Linux OS, communication protocols, open data), platforms (cloud, hardware), etc. To achieve this, it is also essential to develop communication skills and alliance negotiation skills with other companies, including different industries and industry associations.

We hope that you will lead the IT industry through learning from a global perspective at our university.
