Using eduroam
eduroam is an international network roaming service that enables students, faculty, researchers, and staff at primary, secondary, and higher education institutions and research organizations to access campus wireless LAN networks at participating institutions.eduroam was developed and is operated by GÉANT, the European education and research network organization.
In Japan, the National Institute of Informatics (NII) operates eduroam under the name “eduroam JP” for universities, other higher education institutions, and research organizations. NII supports institutions with the enrollment process and the development of connection environments (IdP/SP), while also operating the infrastructure that enables eduroam access both within Japan and internationally.
If your institution participates in eduroam, you can connect your own computer or other devices to the wireless LAN at participating institutions you visit.
When members of KCGI use eduroam at participating institutions, “AccountName@kcg.edu” is used as their eduroam ID.(This is not an email address.)
Members of eduroam participating institutions can access KCGI’s wireless LAN.
