My specialty is piano and classical music. For the last 40 years I have been pursuing music. Piano has been a part of my life since I was 3 years old.

The piano is an instrument that produces extremely primitive and analog "sounds" by striking the strings with a hammer, and the sound is transmitted by vibrating the air.

What I have learned throughout my life is to weave these "sounds" into "music.

As you may know, great composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt were creators born in an era when there was no sign of digital technology. They excelled at creating works that weave "sound" into "music," and used the piano and all kinds of analog instruments to express the inner world of humans and the scenes of people, such as sadness, joy, despair, and hope, through the word "music."The works they continued to create are loved and performed by people all over the world, not only by people at the time, but also in today's digital world, and continue to fascinate audiences.

Music, especially classical music like this, may seem at first glance to be something separate from the digital and IT world that you face. However, just as physicists who try to unravel the laws of everything in the universe cannot move forward without studying elementary particles, I believe that those who try to master the digital world like you must know the beauty of analog.

It is said that humans have been in contact with music since the beginning of civilization. Although it is difficult to define classical music in one word, it generally refers to music from the 1600s onwards.Even in the era in which the composers lived, the social situation changed every day, and music created within the category of analog actually continued to develop and change rapidly.

In my concert performances, I have always cherished the moments when I could share many emotions with the audience and feel something new. In my lectures at this university, I plan to have you experience "sound" and "music" through live performances, and to feel the essence of analog classical music through explanations of the background of the creation of the masterpieces, the world situation at the time, and history.

I hope that by coming into contact with "sound" and "music," which are considered to be the most primitive and beautiful, you will be able to cultivate rich ideas and imagination for those who will be active in the IT world in the future.
